Community Supported Agriculture
26–week Season May 4 through October 27
CSA is a partnership between farmers and members that helps sustain access to fresh, local produce. It’s a perfect way to get the freshest, most nutritious vegetables and share the bounty.
Members purchase a share at the beginning of the growing season. Each member receives a box of seasonal, organically grown vegetables and herbs during the 26 week summer season. Members know where and how their food is grown, and who grows it.
The farmer uses that investment to purchase seeds and supplies at the beginning of the season. It provides a stable income stream and market and the farmer has the opportunity to make a viable income growing food in a healthy, sustainable way that is directly supported by consumers. The farmer also has the pleasure of knowing who their produce is going to.
The farmer and the consumer thus provide mutual support and share in the risks and rewards of local food production.
Our CSA program allows you to choose between two share sizes. Depending on what type of membership fits your family, you will receive a quantity of seasonal vegetables and herbs that you pick up from your location weekly to share with your family. Some weeks will be a little more, some a little less depending on the season.
What You Get
In a Full Share, we strive to provide 7-10 different vegetables each week. A full share will feed a family of four or two adults who cook at home regularly and eat a lot of vegetables. Quantities are less the first few weeks of the season, and more during the peak of the growing season.
A Partial Share is for members that are single or a veggie-lite couple. This membership option will receive 4-6 different vegetables each week.
Cost and Payment Arrangement
There are a limited number of shares available, sign up as soon as possible. Members are asked to pay half their balance when they sign up, and the remainder on or before the first pickup in August. If you need to make other arrangements we are happy to consider your suggestions. Ask us about SNAP! Costs are as follows:
Full Share: $702.00 ($27.00 per week)
Partial Share: $390.00 ($15 per week)
Pickup Details
Share pickup is available at three locations, including the farm. In order to plan harvests we need members to pick up shares each week. If you are unable to pick up your box on delivery day, you must make alternate arrangements for your produce ahead of time. You can ask someone else to pick up your box for you, you can ask the farm not to make a box for you that week, or you can donate your box and we will get it to a local food pantry. Just let us know.
